PureCountry/The Musings of PureCountry

PureCountry

Pleasing thoughts as the day ends.

Purposefully reflecting upon my life here.

Progressing to learn more within this realm.

Proposing the beginning of another day, as this one ends.

Positioning myself for what is yet to come.

Patiently I wait as the evening songbirds gather to sing.

Pleasing thoughts as the day ends.

The Musings of PureCountry

Ceaseless wanderings emanate
from deep within
As the Texas sun continues
her westward ride

Intently I force myself
backwards through time
Reviewing, searching for
the keys to my life

Striving to gain knowledge
practical or otherwise
so I may benefit
every soul I meet

Already looking forward
tomorrow's birth beckons
As today finds it's way
to the grave of yesteryear

Endeavoring to make
myself available
For all that God
may see fit to bless me with

Musical notes from nature's
own operatic tenors
surround me. I sit quietly
absorbing it all into my being

Ceaseless wanderings emanate
from deep within
As the Texas sun continues
her westward ride

Oh yes, this does indeed show maturity in development of your craft. I love to see this difference and growth in poetry. Expression is a muscle, the more we use it the more it expands and allows for more apce to work in. You are in the running.
