Dream Lover
You came to me in a dream
I felt you
Your skin, your soul, your heart
Your arms embraced me and it was a perfect fit
I remember every feature of your face
Every line of wisdom and joy
Every line of disappointment and hurt
Your eyes were honest and filled with genuine love
I don’t know who you are
Or where you came from
Or when you will come to me
Or if you will ever come back
Your face haunts me
I am dazed during the day and
Long for the night to sleep and dream of you again
Are you a vision of a man I have yet to meet?
The whole experience felt so real
Not like a dream at all
So real that when I woke up
I felt a sense of loss
I missed you
If you are out there
Please come to me,
I am ready

Hands in Unity
We are connected in spirit
our souls intertwined
There is power in unity
for our wills are very strong
Gathering of weary hands
together embracing feelings
Finding strength within the fingertips
as we gently caress each others pain
We are shades of different colors
yet our blood is still the purest red
The cries of hunger from our children
are heard across the universe
All that we have are these moments
yet we turn away in shame
afraid to speak out
afraid to reach out
Let us touch souls
holding hands in unity

May we all have a dream lover who comes to life and loves us in the real world. United, through your wonderful poetry. You really are a soulful writer, and I enjoyed every word of it.

The first poem speaks of a dream many have had ...that knowing that there is someone out there and we will eventually meet them. It tells the reader what to know.
The second poem is more evocative and is moving your writing into the Universal. Ty for entering. -
Love is a lovely theme for inspiration... There just isn't enough of it going around these days, is there? What was that old saying, "United we stand, divided we fall." This I believe is the truth, in a nutshell...
