Bird Songs

How do birds learn how to sing
Never seeming to hit a note wrong,
If they just listen to their parents
Can they ever invent a new song.

Do they ever hold competitions
Or is it the same every year,
And when they're abroad is it different
From the usual song that we hear.

I'm told it's a love call or warning
To keep the unfriendlies away,
Although we know most of their calls
I would still like to know what they say.

Love the third stanza... this poem is consistent, it flows, and it rhymes. Good write.

    And he could do that.

My Billy could do that, he had a variety of little songs that he happily chirped when he was happy. Of course he just sang some of his songs kind of sad especially after Minnie died but my dogs liked hearing him. I think this one is especially sweet.

the words of beauty when curve the art of oglden images of love, the legaccy of love rebounbds in resonace to the mute silence of the tears as falling upon the milieu of stone as dumb, yet the love seems to be redeemed heartful in its room by the hours, great write as it goes with credit thanks for sharing

    This is hilarious

What great fun this was to read, when I'm out in Spain next month I'll look out for an English sparrow to check out if he sings a Salsa number - OLAY

funny thing the animal world neither speaks with a foreign tongue nor dialect. like monkey's of Brazil they know portuguese and English Zulu and mandarin what ever the tongue. It is we humans that have the difficulty.
    love the rev papa

Now this is a question that I had never thought of. How do birds learn their songs? Your question has
brought about this very interesting read and that is
all that counts. Loved reading it. great job.
