She sits curled
in fetal position,
her body invaded
with violence of unconcern.
As her heart bleeds
withering to oblivion,
the laughter resonates
from so many voices.
Terror infests
every fibre of her being
as her survival instinct
tells her to be still.
Now ravaged
she floats
in a vortex of shame,
as so many emotions
ricochet through.
Try as she might
the memory won't wash away,
the harder she scrubs
laughter mocks her attempts.
The puking won't stop
as the visions resonate
and slowly a fire
begins burning
within her core.
The embers are flamed
and anger turns to rage
this soul seeks retribution
for the desecration
of this vessel.

I remember a moment in my own life where I felt so much like this, you have captured such darkness and self loathing in this piece, the word choice is spot on with this piece, I hope it takes gold in the contest, it surely deserves it

Not as obvious as I like however I hate things that are too obvious... so great write. Vocab and everything are perfect. After reading again, I only like it more! Thanks for this entry
