I've got my boy next to me
the first time I've had one
at the beginning of a fresh year
and with the rollover of the clock
the turn of the calendar page
we share our sweet kiss
of a brand new year.
A clean start
wipe of the slate.
let's see if we can make it better
so much better than our last, babe.
I'll try to steer clear
of the inconvienences
promise I'll try my best to be a good girl
but unfortunately
some promises are made to be broken.
