I am so excited
I don’t know what to do
I’m on someone’s favorites list
Now that someone is two
Does this mean I am writing
Words that make some sense
Not just to me the hearer
But to ears that have been lent
To me for a few short moments
Just time enough to share
The heartfelt poems I like to write
The stories my heart does bear
Am I listening to the words
Flowing down from up above
Writing, feeling, and translating
Thoughts into love
I feel each time I read
Each time that I write or listen
That life is oh so wonderful
When I get to this position
My words upon a page
For many to come and see
