Crying keeps me up at night,
Thinking of all we have been though,
Even when I'm finally alright,
My pillow is wet for me to go..
So I turn over and dip back into what I shouldn't have begun,
Thinking of everything we did together,
Thinking of all we could have done,
Everything I could have ever..
But you turned away,
Packed up your things and moved away,
A store bought card that can't say,
Not even a short delay..
Out the door and far gone,
Never to return or sing our song,
I asked for you to not be withdrawn,
I didn't think you would leave but I was wrong..
With every new thing something old must end,
Lose a lover and gain a friend,
Walk down a winding road,
Carrying my heavy load.
I have no pictures,
Just recurring memories of your strictures,
A single word that you would say,
Would make every failure seem like a well spent day.
I throw my pillow to the wall,
I watch it hit and fall,
I smell something wonderful and small,
I leave my bed and being to crawl.
Letting my mind think of any-thing,
Hoping that its you back to sing,
Open my door to an empty street,
I looked down and you were dead at my feet.
