Blind,
Walking through darkness
Eyes unaccustomed to sorrow
I mourn the lack of spirit
Unable to move, every muscle in spasms
Mind denied access to body
Rampant, uncontrolled, crawling
Slowly, desperation, a
Cliff in the distance
I want to reach it,
I look and see, yes, it will do
Tall enough, jagged, broken,
Rocks at bottom call for blood
Almost there, getting closer
Only inches from falling… I stop
I am mesmerized
In the distance, glowing
A soft pale love in the moonlight
A white rose, growing from rock
Watered with saline tears
I fear,
I am no longer alone
