A fleeting life
taken for granted.
A friendship
never fully expressed.
Laughter and tears
Joy and pain.
Weren’t you scared?
Felt lost in a darkness
with no way out
but to follow the light?
Yet you were so peaceful
trusting in God
conquering and experiencing the unseen,
each new day a gift.
You are my role model
you are my hero
You are my angel
sent here without wings
to touch lives
then your mission was complete.
Time has rolled on
seas of change flow in,
yet the pain, the hurt
still resides
a scar on my heart.
I never got to say
the words good-bye
or express my heart.
I was in shock
numb to my surroundings
not wanting to face reality.
Jesus, the cross
is what holds us together.
A faith, a hope
of seeing you again.
Yet my heart is selfish
wanting you here
while you are in the glory of God,
the masterpiece he crafted for us.
So I’ll sing you this lullaby
to put my pain to sleep:
I love you
I miss you
I’ll see you again.

WOW, this is beautiful yet very sad at the same time. I felt chills down my spine and it brought me close to tears. losing someone that you love is always very difficult, I know that all too well. yes someday we will meet our loved ones again..
