My Angel

      Someone once asked me
      if I believe in angels.
    Vivid memories flooded my mind.

The time I first saw
true love and beauty
in a form that you
could embrace in a hug.

      A radiance that brings
      Peace and calmness
With the song of a dove.

The gentle touch
of hope
that brings healing
with a sweet feel.

A love so strong it can
      Part the mountains
      Just to spread one drop,
      Filled my soul again.

When I was in a world of
solitude and sorrow a
bright face pulled me
out of the shadows.

A sturdy arm is always there
      When my soul is troubled
      And is a weary breath.

A strong faith that brings me
back from afar.
When I wander on a wrong
lonesome journey.

      Yes, I believe.
      Angels fill our dark world
With their peace, love, and beauty
And the best miracle of all
      Is my angel, my mom.
