We flew away to Hilly's house,
to get her British Tea,
for everyday Michelle's away,
she makes a pot for me.
We took out all our instruments,
for a concert by the sea,
singing classics by The Beatles,
LOVE ME DO & LET IT BE.
Cara Lou played her guitar,
by the light of the silvery moon,
as we sang HERE COMES THE SUN,
one of our favorite tunes.
Jim sang HELTER SKELTER,
DIllon sang HEY JUDE,
Vince did I AM THE WALRUS,
like he came from Liverpool.
SHE CAME IN THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW,
is the song that Hilly did,
for that is what she did one day,
when she was just a little kid.
Little Legs sang PENNY LANE,
and MEAN MR. MUSTARD, too,
JoAnna sang YESTERDAY,
REVOLUTION, FOR YOU BLUE.
Me? I did BLUE JAY WAY,
and MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR,
playing on my old sitar,
until my hands were sore.
Happy did MARTHA, MY DEAR,
DEAR PRUDENCE - GLASS ONION,
Sammy sang ROCKY RACCOON,
and I'LL FOLLOW THE SUN.
GROWLER howled HEY, BULLDOG,
and OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA,
while Dillon kept a steady beat,
just like Ringo Starr!
Dionte played the tuba,
on LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED,
Lily had sheet music,
but he couldn't read.
Mars Bar played the fiddle,
while Lily played banjo,
to the SAVOY TRUFFLE,
and THE LONG & WINDING ROAD.
Mr. Howard sang NOWHERE MAN,
as the lazy sun came out,
MONEY and SHE LOVES YOU,
GOOD MORNING - TWIST & SHOUT!
Talking Toad didn't sing a thing,
He hadn't spoke since his kiss,
and everyone was glad to say,
we were delighted about this.
JuJu sang on JULIA,
ALL MY LOVIN and I WILL,
PIFF sang MR. MOONLIGHT,
and FOOL ON THE HILL.
LISA sang a lot of songs,
too many to list here,
for she was feeling mighty fine,
from drinking Hilly’s beer.
Miss Kitty sang STRAWBERRY FIELDS,
BLACKBIRD and HONEY PIE,
as I flew away with Lucy,
leaving diamonds in the sky.

This is the 27th piece for what will be my 25th book and the fourth book in my YELLOW BUS of PEACE & LOVE series of books of which I have (at the very least) 5 of planned - if all goes well. As with my LITTLE STAR books - my YELLOW BUS books are meant to be read from the first page to the last like the chapters of a novel. MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS - TO ALL OF YOU FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD!!

My, my, my ,magical man, what a great selection of song!! I guess you could say, my beer is kind of special, cos it has pear juice in it....Throat was a bit dry from all that singing, so the beer was a welcome relief!! As for that tea...aint nobody makes tea as good and strong as little old me.xxx

There's nothing quite like a cup of English tea and if Hilly made it I'm sure it was excellent. We are partial to a slice of chocolate cake with it now and then too lol. All that singing must have kept us busy all day and I hope we weren't too noisy for her neighbours. The English love a good party and I think we'll be singing Beatles songs for the rest of the year now. Perhaps Hilly ought to not be so liberal with the beer next time we turn up as singing is great so long as its in tune lol
