Wavering around,
Wondering what’s going on.
Never in my mind did I wonder,
Until she came to me.
Suspicion settles deep in my gut,
Then my mind cries out.
“Now What?”
one thing after another,
I believed your words true.
Then within an instant,
The love we shared is through.
Another poking their nose in,
Another log placed on the now rising fire.
Yesterday an email sent,
Today some words,
Distant we had become,
Now my heart finally hurts.
One thing after another,
Don’t you people have a life,
Destined to destroy, to cause another strife?
“Now What?”
Lies, deceit, heartache and pain,
Another lovely lady
weeping, torn, going insane.
Nothing left to do,
To cry then die, fall by the waste side.
To drink, to walk,
To die, to live,
To cry, to smile…
to remain in the shadows,
no longer noticed,
to protect the others,
you play your games with.
You have it all,
I wil cringe and then fall,
nothing left do decipher, except..
“Now What?”
