When's, Where's, and How's
.
Where did you meet?: At our little church, I'd been going to that church since I was 12, and so had his parents, so I'd grown up with his parents-- but he had been off living elsewhere and doing his own thing, so I didn't meet him until much later.
.
How old were you when you first began dating?: I was 18, he was 22.
.
When did you realize you were in love?: About one month into dating (3 months after we met)
.
Where did you get married?: Scottsdale AZ at an old friends house in her backyard (she has a 5,000 sq ft house and a beautiful backyard with a guest house!!!)
.
How was the wedding?: Flawless. Everything went perfect, and less people showed up than we projected, so we had lots of extra wine and liquor and cake left. =] His uncle DJ'd, and I've never seen so many people at a wedding dance as crazy as my family did. LOL
.
Did anything silly or fun happen on the day?:It was all kind of funny and silly in a way.. it was just perfect. Nothing major stands out.....oh wait! The groomsmen stole my groom during the reception and made him do a keg stand! It was hilarious!
.
How many people came?: Round about 40 or 50 I think.
.
When did you move in together?: The day of.
.
When are you planning on having children?: I am only 20 (about to be 21 in a couple months!) and he is 24 and already has a 5 year old daughter, Tessa. I want to give him one child, hopefully a son, but since we have lots of fun things we want to do, we want to wait until I am about 25 or 26 before we move forward with that. He will be about 30 by then, which is about how old he wants to be when he has his next child. =]
Thoughts: I watched my parents renew their vows on December 28th this year after 22 years of marriage. This was the first time they'd done a vow renewal, and it was huge because for them, well, I don't know any marriage that should have survived what theirs has. They have been through the hardest things, and they have separated, and fought, and almost ALMOST given up completely. My father said something that night that was so wonderful to hear him say and I wanted to share that with you guys. Here is what he said:
"During the time that Lisa and I were separated, and were deciding we wanted to divorce, I posted a blog on one of my motorcycle forums online that said 'I used to think loving someone was enough. But it's not.' ...I'm here tonight to tell you that I was wrong. If you truly, in your heart of hearts, love someone, and they love you, you can get through anything. And I can honestly say I never stopped loving Lisa, and I've never wanted to spend the rest of my life with anyone but her."

Hi Amanda, I was hoping you'd enter this !
] my parents split up after 24 years of marriage and it's a hard thing for us all to go through even though I'm now 20 it's still hard to watch but anyway ...
