Burning a Bridge Is Just Fire

It's intelligent
That serpents possess leg bones

It's so intelligent
That humans eating fried potatoes possess wisdom teeth

Ah, I swim in your eyes...
The vitreous humour...
Wading through stagnant fluid,
Bouncing against crystalline rods and cones:
I live still in some reptilian instinct

I see you
In a way cuttlefish never could...
Red flash, the spark, mad dash, the dark!
The sunlight that oozes across my neck
Parallel
I evolved to yell
That it's intelligent
To love you

Phantom pheromones
Tickle cilia
And my flagellum flaps about!

You snicker
When angels speak of conception...
Delicious glint in your mutant iris
As my blade reaches your fruit

It's intelligent
That my striated ear muscles exist, but don't work

But when I hear your laughter
Goose bumps I don't need rise:
I love you.

What is the crazy?

Ah.. this is genius. I'm still not sure what is crazy

I recognize both mental illness and genius when I see them. I do not know if you have the former, but I am rather convinced that you do possess creative genius.

No one stole me, Suzi: I'm right here.

I merely wrote this to commemorate the birthday of an ex.

Thanks for reading it, though. And I'm glad you like it.
