the day is still young.
phone rings it
is her prom date
he is standing her
up for another girl.
she starts to cry and
i try to comfort her.
i walk her home
from where i work
and offer to take
her to the prom.
she says that unless
i bring her a bouquet of
flowers and a ride to
the prom she won't go.
so i fly to the second
floor flower vine at her house
and pick her a dozen rose
thats thorns have all fallen off.
then we go to the poem
where we share our first kiss
it will be the beginning
of the rest of our lives.
to start a family is what we will do.
Author notes
this was a dream that i had last night so i thought that it would make a great poem. i probally had this dream because i didn't get to go to a high school prom.

Now - a- days ~ you don't need a date for the prom ~ lots of people just go on their own ~ I did go to my prom ~ it was okay ~ dancing ~ joking ~ seeing everyone all dressed up ~ was nice ~ It's nice to see your poem has a happy ending ~ maybe in some sense of the dream ~ you did go ~

well i havent, yet.
i dont look forward to going to prom.
i hate dressing up.
but that's quite an interesting dream ya had.
glad you wrote it down into a poem...
tho its way different than most your work.
it's still good.
