Long before the dawn of your coming,
I married a woman who's body clock was humming,
made of an angel who lives to this day.
fact is there were no more, sad to say.
One little angel crying,
but only for an hour,
as each cry grew weaker,
so too my power,
of will to keep going,
but,
stand up i did,
and tried and tried once again for a kid.
Second little angel,
hard as she might,
just didn't have enough,
too hard was the fight,
stubborn as always tried for another,
heedless of warnings from doctor and mother.
Third angel!
uncertain,
tried to remove,
couldn't go through,
something to prove,
only thing proven was same as before,
another perfect birth ending up at deaths door.
There must be a reason,
as yet not found
still keep on smiling,
to those all around
the performer takes over,
joke's with a sigh
can't let people see a grown man cry.
Only here,
in these words,
can i really be me,
open, honest the whole world to see,
strange as may seem,
most things that i write,
I have no knowledge of,
until first sight.

That so sad!! To have gone through all that... so tragic! The last stanza was my favourite... an opening of your soul!
Thanks for the entry!

I'm not fond of the style but you have done very well. Yet you have made it where i can appreciate this style. I love how you have described each angel. Great work and thank you for entering

This deeply moved me. I know some of what you are talking about - my own experiences. All we can do is get up and try again. Some pain never ends, we just enure ourselves to it to survive.
