Cirrus clouds float languidly by
a backdrop of aquamarine sky
emerald green waters stretch on for miles
every face beams with contended smiles
Digging toes into sugar white sand
on the boardwalk a rock-n-roll band
belting out those old 70's tunes
while children play on sandy dunes
Waves calme the nerves as they roll ashore
mother nature begs "Please come explore"
a crab scurries then darts out of sight
a heron gets a fishy delight
I bask in the warmth of summer's sun
brimming with the excitement of fun
a taste of heaven within my reach
on the shores of Pensacola Beach~
