Created for this earth in ancient times
long ago,
to Shine clarity & expose truth.
An Eternal Light shines,
casting upon us tender rays of mercy and hope.
A Witness to all, generations past
and present, revealing shadows of
man's deeds, lovers feast, laborous
births, wretched wars, and killing fields.
Hear the words of "Machaivelli" echo
"Wars begin where you will, but
don't end when you please."
In this year of two thousand and seven,
a woman who dared to champion the
moon, shared her dreams of peace and
hope for her beloved and tormented people.
I, a grandmother, mother, daughter, simple
being of earth also learn to struggle and hope
most powerfully on earth.
Boldly we women have cried, our tears unleashed
sweeping, cleansing, ignored.
Benazir Bhutto, a woman of fearless strength
who loved her Pakistan homeland more than threat
of death. Reached, painfully breaking through to give
her homeland of Pakistan "substantial" and "honorable"
life.
Bullets and shrapnel will not stop her voice.
We women on earth, now speak her prayers of love.
The flesh you can bury, her spirit you cannot.
This humble woman asks?
Has "hatred" and "change" calloused your hearts?
The two greatest historical fears mankind generously deny's.
We of all colors, beliefs, and faiths
celebrate your life, your precious and bold gift.
Dear Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq, we your
sisters, of Eastern and Western nations,
weep,
at the loss of such a magnificent gift.
Benazir Bhutto. What was your deed to
generate such a hateful death?
"Peace"
We wipe the blood you have spilled from her flesh
and prayerfully we pick up where she left off...you are
not able to silence all our prayers, we women know
without us...you have no future sons, soldiers to bear.
"Peace"
Is your heart too weary to hear?
Benazir Bhutto, our most brave and tender sister of such
deep courage and sorrow, we honor you and promise
to not lose hope. We women will carry on tearfully without
you.
We weep with the moon.

Assasinated Friday, December 27, 2007.
