Written Upon My Heart

I write your sweet name upon the page
Over and over again.
Then I wipe it away
Like a wave does a love letter written in the sand.

So warm and inviting,
Your name sounds to me
As I dive into the depths of its sweet serenity.
It wraps around me like a cozy quilt
As many mountain steps I’ve climbed,
Just to be near to you
And yet,
All it takes is the sheer will of your beautiful smile
To melt my heart.

At the mere mention of your name,
Whether spoken or written,
It’s all the same,
My heart beats wildly
And if I chance to hear your sweet, golden voice so near
My heart skips a beat.
‘Cause I love you more than you could ever possibly know.
You’ve touched my heart with your whispered words of love
And it has exploded and overflowed.

I will never lose you,
Because I carry you within
Wherever I go.
Your joy and love will never leave me
Because you are in my heart.

Within my heart forever will live
A special love
And a special gift of your warm, sweet smile
And your reassuring hugs.

This definitely comes from my heart for a very special angel and friend in my life. With the prompt of your pic, it came flowing out like a liquid love flowing from the heart. I hope it fits what you wanted for this contest. Thanks.
