One day there was a frog who was actually a princess.
She waited for her prince to find her.
Whilst she waited, she grew fond of her pond.
She started to forget the castle.
When her prince arrived at last, she hid herself
amongst the arum lilies.
He could not find her. He feared the woods.
He left,
never to return again.
She remained a frog happily ever after
awaiting the rain;
knowing that she was a princess
and that her prince was a frog.

a leap of faith and the lily dweller had her ivory castle in the dew drenched flower cup perched on top....and a earthen tone bullfrog to sing her lullabies under a full moon..and flies and bugs galore to feast upon..what need of flesh and jabbering lips and walking upright....she lived happily ever after and laughed till she croaked...lol...cute stuff....Artis

Thank you, Di, for your loyalty on reading my work
Your comment summed up my feelings so neatly. And yes - nature is indeed royal and uncomplicated ... I am greatly inspired by God's creation.
Ps. Sorry if I have send my answer on Monkie's comment to your IM address ... LOL - I'm still stumbling on some technicallities. -
Thank you, Monkie, for enjoying my girlishness ... It is a wee bit like a child whistling in the dark ... When I am in great pain, then I choose to write in a very simplistic and seemingly lighthearted way ... A little self-humour never hurted anyone.

To love what is, and accept ones fate, this is true strength, better to be a big frog in a small fluid pond, than a small princess in a big stone castle. There is such royalty in nature, a very wise frog. A very wise author! Wonderful piece as usual.

Well this to me showed true happiness came from what the princess couldn't touch she had those things of worldy richness....But once she came down to being only a frog saw that the happiness to loose all is when she was truely happy.....Being stripped of nearly everything she once had..... within its life....
She found her happiness in the rain the Lord poured upon her...
That being His Spirit...the greatest things to have are to be filled with His love,he gave her that happiness of wholeness that the wordly things couldn't bring them. This shows that sometimes even richness doesn't make one totaly happy Or what one can touch.
But after she lost it all found the sorce of what lasts...
Great piece Myra, Sherry
