I never thought
that you would haunt
my every memory.
I didn't know that
you would be so hard to quit
and leave me so empty.
If I had known how much it hurts,
I don't know if I could've seen the worth
in the whole ordeal.
And now, so much later when I thought I could make it through,
I am haunted again,
haunted by the ghost of you.
You slip into my dreams
and never listen
when I scream.
You left me all alone
just when I thought
I could finally call you my own.
I am still haunted,
even after I'll I've been through,
I am haunted daily by the ghost of you.

Good job, I really liked this. I loved the story that your poem tells. It worked very well with the title you've chosen, too. My only bit of advice is more showing, less telling. But aside from that, great write!
Thanks for entering.
Love Always,
Caroline
