Our love so pure
So nice and sweet
But once I tell you
Will we taste defeat
I love you so much
But soon I must go
I just want to say
I love you so
I hold you so dear
and hope you feel the same
Questions run through my mind
Will I always be your dame
Will you hold me tightly
Will you always be mine
Even when I'm gone
Or will you just decline
Tell me now
Then hold me tight
You know I'll cause you pain
But will you fight
For me and my love
Author notes
"If I died tomorrow, knowing I would cause you pain today, would you still love me?"
This quote reminds me of "A walk to remember"

The question of do you really love me, and will you always, rings through this write. The flow of the stanzas is quite good...The pain of love is certainly evident..Good write, dear daughter!

a good poem, ah once love is in the spirit then it is not easily removed, and not even death can lay claim to that i think.

Very nice words dear Holly!
I can see you penned this well.
From your heart this was written,
that I can easily tell.
Although your reference is
rendered as something quite
(to say the least) familiar,
well, I've run out of rhyme
and thus out of time so I'll just
leave you with "Good job dear one!" -
yea...it does remind me of "a walk to remember"...this is so sweet a work..its like i wanna give it a kiss...lol...its beautiful.
