I'm in love and it's all I want to shout,
in love with him but unable to say.
With the tears I cry there'd never be a drought,
if he only knew maybe I'd be OK.
Inside my heart is constantly screaming,
my mind thinks of nothing but him.
He is the only one in sleep that I am dreaming,
but my chances of us together are slim.
He always says he doesn't want a girlfriend,
I knew this when we became close.
But as hard as I try to pretend,
it's him I love the most.
Not wanting to risk the chance of losing what we hold,
I silence my heart and keep this love of mine untold.

I'm pretty sure you have written a poem here that many people will be able to relate to in some kind of way. How many of us aren't out there that actually silence their heart, in fear to lose what one holds already.
I had the feeling that the rhyme was a little bit forced here and there, but all by all you did pretty well.
thank you for entering the contest - I wish you the best of luck!

Not to bad nice flow a little bouncy in places but the base of the poem is there. Good luck
