Always (Part Two)

The promises that I know in my core are true,
The ticking of phantom clocks,
And every day I see such beautiful things
That only remind me of you.

We are fueled by a benign fire
That it would be folly to deny.
We are the entire universe, we are an atom
And everything in-between.

It's not our place to question why,
But to ascend to that higher plane
Afforded by our patience and growing yearnings
That we know one day will be satisfied.

It's not our place to point and judge,
But to embrace each other as destiny demands.
And let the worries of the world crumble
Beneath our planted feet,
And sway with the wind like mighty oaks,
The wind of our prayers fulfilled
And our declarations and oaths expressed.

It's not our place to cast aside
The power within these inexhaustible emotions,
But to claim it-- reclaim it!-- and perambulate
In our own Garden of Eden,
And smile at the sunshine,
And smile at each other:
This, this is our place.
