lost in the shadows of everybodys lies
searching for an ounce of truth
in the midst of the darkness
the lies now become her truths
falling for all shes told
believing hes in it for love
giving herself to him
the second its over hes out
running for safety
in the arms of home
but nobody's there
nobody ever was
she watches from a distance
as everything she once new
crumbles to the floor
realizing nobody ever meant a word
love never meant a thing
yet it was her world
salty tears flow
as she realizes
she is everybody's fool

Very sad, but a very beautiful piece. I loved the form, it seemed to work just right and it flowed very well. I like how you told a story but didn't really need a lot of words, it was simply told, but simply wonderful. The reader can still feel all the emotion, even if the words are simple and the sentences are small. Very, very good!
Thanks for entering.
Love Always,
