Crooked, wrinkled newspaper
with excessive, overlapping tape
is the pride of the alpha male
as we stand there, mouth agape
They take such great care
of picking the perfect gift
the pride of the alpha male
as we smile at their blatant thrift
Humor has our present been
coming from the alpha male's chagrin
Author notes
Option #1 (quote)
'Anyone who believes that men are the equal of women has never seen a man trying to wrap a Christmas present.'

well done - sounds like you were writing about a few ppl i know too well - i rememebr recieving a gift from my former brother and it was one i wanted dearly but within the box he had it in he hat it decidely and ribbon tied wrapped in a page from the comics. many men tend to spend more time on the shopping and could care less on the wrapping - but I must admit i often hate wrapping too as do too many at once i get bored after so long and get carefree. thank you for entering and many blessings always xx
