After reading this, a smile on my face.
Where all the good men gone, she asked with such grace.
Let me tell you honey, I have the main,
I love him dearly, Hell No! I won’t share his name.
All the others, well, are hiding down the street,
sweetly counting blessings, for Tory they will soon meet.
Yes indeed, all the good men know me well,
they kiss the face of Heaven, then lock the gates of Hell.
Waiting ever patiently, to see if my love pans out.
Leaving me breathless, as they chant my name out loud.
My lover knows he’s well loved, but also can be replaced.
So he loves me tenderly, with every passionate embrace.
These good men are looking hard, for the right time.
To move forward, to cross that finish line!
They have a secret hiding place, at the corner house.
Where they gather secretly, no women are aloud.
Playing poker, drinking beer, smoking a cig.
No worries, no problems, as they pop their lid.
Another top opens, another beer can is crushed,
when I walk into the room, there’s a sudden rush.
So come gather ladies, I do know where they hide.
All can have what is left, if my love doesn’t abide.
Yet I’m sure he will, for he does love me so.
Even though the draft is cold, he would never let me go.
There will be a minimal charge, can’t let you in for free.
The arena is full of sweaty men, who barely make round three.
All sizes, ages, an assortment in styles,
can make me very happy, and bring you many smiles.

Wonderfully done honey, a bit more humorous than my take on this prompt. Probably because I know what the song was protesting when it first came out. Love you baby...Scott

This is the second poem I have read for this contest and I have to say I rather enjoyed this one a bit more... it's sweet to me because it's very personal, I can tell.
Beautiful job. I feel the same way about my husband.
Good luck Tory.
