Rocks give birth to a river
Like a mother to adoring child
Carries on its arms with care
A new born, small, tender and cute.
River runs tricks of a flow
Fallowing through least resistance
Dredging loosened parts
Winding its way through stones.
A cradle for a child
Protects the river in infancy
Before leaving it alone
When it learns to stand on itself.
Lends its hands up to a distance
Feeds the river, pouring showers
Makes it big, guiding rivulets
Builds it into unimaginable proportions.
A river meanders around foothills
Leaves its marks on geology
Scribbles history on the rocks
Its foot prints for posterity.
