My #1 enemy....

I sit here day and night wondering
How it's going to end
Knowing one day we will meet
Not knowing your face
Only that you are my enemy
Seeing how you over baron everyone else
Hoping I will be last in line
To come to this awful tragedy
But then again , there must be a way to defeat you
You are my last obstacle
I shall destroy you!
You will not take me to this darkness
I will prevail Death
We'll meet in the end.....

Author notes

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death”
- J. K. Rowling

I really like that this fits perfectly on the books, but it could also refer to a struggle with your inner self. I like that - simple, but with depth. Good job!

Nicely multi-valent piece--does it refer to the book, to the image, to life in general, to death? To none? To all? Nicely done indeed.

One suggestion: do you want 'set' (to place something else) or 'sit' (as in a chair) in the first line?
