The children of Terezin cry
for them life was wondering when they will die,
or if mommy and daddy will come back,
or if their lives will get back on track.
They wonder if they'll eat a meal,
or maybe it's the whip they'll feel,
or maybe just cower in fright,
or maybe sister is coming back tonight.
Sometimes as i sit and wonder,
as i listen to the rain and thunder,
why they never got to grow,
why they never got to glow.
Those children never sang,
their telephones never rang,
their dreams were never real
and they never got to feel.
It is horrid that their lives are done
when ours have just begun.
