Frozen tears piercing my skin
Memories so cold and true
Whisked away to a magical place
To be whipped among the coldest shadows
Darkness now on my shoulder
As a companion I can trust
The insanity in my head
An enemy and a friend in disguise
Frost setting upon my eyes
Sewing them shut like faeries would
As my fingers leave a trail of ice
My heart appears to have broken
But ice has reformed and taken over
Hollowing the piece of emotion
And gutting my mind senseless
I can feel the darkness over my shoulder
Slipping down over my body
As the frozen tears slip down into my skin
These memories of you
Cutting me wide open for the frost to set in
As my eyes are sowed shut by this cold
And the shadows dance over my icy skin
My heart is so broken
Frail and trailing among this icy floor
I cannot look back
For the blood will bruise my mind more
And may just shatter
This icy heart of mine
Killing all inside
Making it a hollow being of death
As my eyes are iced shut
And my body, tainted by the shadows
Is finally laid to rest
