I looked into your heart
and saw myself there.
I searched for a way out
from an entrapment, so unfair.
I stole a glance at the way you saw me,
so desirable, I know not why,
and when I found no way out,
I simply struggled not to cry...
...lest you see me weak,
whether or not you could tell,
and as far as my battle for strength,
I shouldn't like to fail...
I pray for an epiphany,
an idea for my escape,
before you, inevitably, let your love
realize itself, and become your hate.
