Sleep hits like rain
like a thousand pores sweating,
chains of sorrow pull
unforgiving tears
downward;
and the memories of you
consume me.
Pools of unconscious thoughts
black out traces
of reminiscence,
drowning this face in
agony;
and the memories of you
replace me.
Fighting the remembrance
to let go of your withering hands,
I will wash away these tears
with dreams you don't
exist in;
and the memories of you
escape me.
Author notes
Note for the title:
water in this case means tears.
balloon is another definition for forget.

Beauty is in the spacing, and in the linage here. Love the way you end each stanza... It leaves you so.. tired.. so sad... mourning...

such sad and vicious write that we have all experienced.
you write with a deep dedication from a withered torn heart that has been lashed like a teenager in puppy love.
hope you receive a trophy for this awesome write

I don't appreciate you saying my write is like teenagers in puppy love because it is strictly more than that, but thanks for the rest of your comment
