Ode To The Lenny

A piece of me died today...
He was my baby, my best friend, my pal
His name varied from day to day
Depending on the mood
Leonard when he was bad
Lenny when I was lazy
Any any variation of Mcfluffernugget and Fluffy-wuffy-kins
He was a rolly polly fur covered free spirit
A one of a kind friend
His collar jingled so you knew when he was coming
As he thundered across the floor
Like a herd of mini-elephants
His bark, was perhaps on the loud side
But it was him, in all his glory
He is free now wandering some doggy heaven
Giant cheese logs flying in front of him
In the eternal chase for cheese
He will always be in my heart and soul
But today i'll say goodbye...
And remember all the good times
His vicious growls that never grew into anything
And his snoring that echoed threw the house
He was my Lenny
