Almost three years
since we said goodbye
the pain still lingers
deep inside
like a knife through my heart
it tears me apart
I see your face
in a lover's eyes
a million and one
tears I cry
for I'm broken in two
I am not whole without you
My soul is dark
my heart is weak
I pray the Lord
my soul to keep
In time I know
my heart will mend
and maybe I can love again
though I'll never love the same
I am glad that you became
a part of me
a part so deep
a part so true

Another poem that displays the ache one feels when a relationship turned to an end, and you're still left behind with strong feelings for that person. Rather clichéd again, but a good way to write off your feelings

Very Deep and Powerful
I have been there. As I am sure many others have too. The pain in this is palpable. I can feel your heart breaking here. Such deep emotions here.
You think that you will never love again, or that love may never come round again, but Life is mysterious. There is always someone around the next corner. Very emotional piece.
