What's it take to be a child?
Some marbles and tinker toys?
A sunny day with grass so fresh
And two scratched-up knees.
Surely though the days of child
Are no more innocent and naive.
What becomes of people's sanity
When innocence turns to ignorance.
Minor innocence is know-nothing;
Untainted converts to unbecoming.
Imaturity is simply disease
An incurable viral sickness.
Neverland is possible to reach
But growing up is required.
Sweetness of life is attainable
If known how to drink in spurts.
Author notes
Lately I've been sick of people not acting their age. I can take immaturity but not 24/7. no one always acts their age but if you do not know when or how to use it, it becomes like a sickness, making everyone around you ill of your presence.
