It's Christmas time once more
and we are going away
again we have a dilemma
what to do with Rover and Tibby
The Smiths are away
so are the Campbells
the kennels and catteries are full
maybe old Mrs Hall down the road will pet sit them
She loves them both
often bringing them treats
yes thats the answer
I will run down and ask her
She says she would love to have them
they will keep her company
I hope she doesn't get too upset when we return
and she has to part with them
Now that dilemma is solved
Where did I put the GPS?
we haven't used it in awhile
I am sure it is in a safe place, but where is it?
I wonder if Mrs Jacobs would notice
if I dropped my two children off
(she has so many of her own, she may not notice till we're gone)
the holidays would be so peaceful then
Nan and Pop would be so sad
if they didn't get to see Tommy and Sara
so we best just take them
the dvd should keep them amused in the car, after all
Cars all packed, pets delivered
kids aboard and GPS in place
time to go, lock the house,
oops nearly forgot the presents

Hope old Mrs. Hall was able to part with Rover and Tibby without crying when you got back.

Ah yes, the pet decision!
I love your poem because it speaks to my heart about what to do when you go on vacation.
I once had a goldfish that I had to find a sitter for when we went on trips. I got so TIRED of carrying that bowl around the neighborhood to various people that finally I just too the fish with us on vacation.
Aren't pets adorable? YES!
Your poem is adorable, too.
