Where Will You Be?

Missing image

Idolization of worldly things

will bring the darkness of the abyss,

allowing the evil one to reign

inviting the presence of deaths kiss

Come out from darkness into the light

meet our Saviour the true Prince of Peace,

when once forgiven we are redeemed

our selfishly sinful ways thus cease

Jesus Christ the Son our Morning Star

has made a provision for our lives,

He is the catalyst for salvation

just where will you be when he arrives?

Author notes

I chose option 3 and used all the words as is: idolization, darkness, Saviour, Prince of Peace, Morning Star, Provision, Catalyst, Light, redeemed

    Excellent

Truth written so beautifully real and true. I love the picture on this poem. I often wonder where people get such great pictures for their poems. The poem is so true how we get caught up in the things of this world and when we stop there is really only one thing that matters and that's our salvation!
Thank you sweety for sharing your gift to write poetry with heart!!
    Love

Wow...so true. I gave up worrying about material things when I realized I had all that I needed, not all that I wanted. Though not a Christian, your poem has such a soothing cadence. Your beliefs have gotten you through very rough times, and your use of the word bank is exemplary! Best wishes in this contest!
    Happy New Years!

very powerful words and a very puzzling question to those who are either in doubt, in denial, or those who simply don't know our Lord and Saviour! Very truth-packed indeed! I loved it!

Excellent job here. Nice testimony of the love and sacrifice Jesus made for us. Our eternal destiny is in Him, and we should tell the world.
