I'm sorry, Angel

It's too late angel
they've all gone
the battle finished
but no one won
they fired their guns
and blew their bombs
they even killed
with sticks and rocks
i'm sorry but this
is a hard story to tell
you can't save them angel
they're burning in hell

Author notes

This goes with a picture of an angel dressed all in white standing over the remains of where a bomb exploded and looking up towards heaven with her hands clasped in prayer. It is about a war, the idea being that fighting a war doesnt stop anything and just because one side 'wins' doesnt mean they actually win

I think I've seen that picture, is it on deviantart and the girl dressed as the angel wearing heels? White heels? *thinks* I think on the authors notes on deviantart it said the picture was taken in Indonesia (spelling??)

Hmm, that woud be so cool.

Even so its an amazing poem you have here, so deep and well written. I'm making it a point to read and comment on all your poems today if you haven't noticed. I see you havent gotten comments in a long time, oh well!! Guess I'll be the one to bring you back!!

i like the idea you had from the picture, it shows that just because one side or the other wins doesnt mean that they truly win. great job!
