I am...

Behind

I am always behind
always thinking of reasons
of when or why

yet, I am behind;
I am always behind

with silent
breathing

while
I'm waiting

I wait behind you expecting

for a knock on my door
letting me know
you're here

as I am
awaiting
your touch

seeking
sensual warmth
through out our bodies

necessity
of you
satisfaction

And
I am
still behind

as blood runs
through our veins
and our hearts beat
until forever

I will always be behind
behind you,

behind this love that will never die
in me

I will be behind
forever

This is a beautifully written piece of poetry that flows from such a wonderful heart. I think you did a wonderful job with it and I am sure you will do well in the contest.

I think it next to impossible with you being behind in anything but your poetry speaks volumes...

I have already told you how I loved the way you used "behind" in this poem. I just wanted to stop and tell you again that I love how your strength and skill with words has grown.
    Love, Tom B.

I found this to be rather sad. To always be behind, never side by side....

your words are so beautiful, yet I found you wanting for that intimacy so badly. Maybe this is what the picture said to you. I will never judge another's writing, as it is so very personal. Best wishes in this contest!
