this rhyming poem was so pretty i began on a lyric with it..was it written to be a lyric dear.The rhyme is so good that it amazes. Loved it enjoyed it. -
Perhaps love enters the room when we make room for it first? Flowers open for only a short while, but its the roots that enable them to resurrect in beauty. There are so many gardeners, so many seeds, and sometimes the tares are very pretty weeds. The perfume entices, and earth suffices, and still we seek more to cherish and be cherished. Mom

Yes, love seems to make one do all these things, and even after all these years, one still feels the same way - how wonderful when this happens. Have been married 37 years, hoping to make it till death do us part. Not sure if the young ones living today will make it to those big digits - any excuse for a divorce these days.

I agree that some marriages aren't given a chance. But I am divorced and glad that after 20 years of life with an alcoholic that I finally took the steps. On the other hand young ones these days are not only looking for any excuse for divorce, but they are looking for any excuse to have babies and then get married. Marrying the wrong person all together. Unfortunately I had to learn the lesson the hard way. I wish you the best in your marriage for the rest of yours and your hubbies lives. or perhaps Elation-I enjoyed the read, and I respect the write for you are its creator and its message is delivered clearly, however, in my opinion the present title is an injustice to the message because "Nothing Compares..." to what? Nothing. Yet you have compared it to (my perception-lust, excitement, others whom have felt the same, forever or never, invaded or invited-but welcomed none the less, nature and innocence....Love...but aren't what you really implying is that your love is as good, or better, that the generalization of love itself is unparrallelled to the elation or the rise above the norm of everything you compared it to, that your love encompasses all that and indicating of so much more?...forgive me if I have misread, or misconceived or if I just should have left a simple "Cheers"

My reasoning for the name "Nothing Compares" was meaning to love. But because poetry can be taken differently by each person's view I didn't feel that is was necessary to label the comparison. I appreciate your comments and your input.
