Living for your breath
as if I had none,
your eyes seemed to create me
willful words made my existence;
abandoned happiness of my spirit
fell into your pleasure, so
mercurial and adept at change
like riptides beneath the calm
and when you turned away
leaving a wide placid sea
windless wastrel waves
blending air above to seas below
into stillness;
stretched standing still
until storms rose within
callous clouds, all dark
and squallish sprites flashing;
fury filled skies and
swelled splitting sails
vengeful air bending masts
raising rogue waves.
Freedom was a rash thought
set loose to ride upon cyclones,
open seas welcomed raging torrents
and calmed them into use;
stirring briny fathoms to the Sun
churning the cycle of tides
for seas find places
for all lost ships.

I can see how this ties in with the quote. Good job with that... You did your imagery very well... Thank you for entering my contest.

Beautiful! My words can't describe the power of this work, "Freedom was a rash thought
set loose to ride upon cyclones;" Oh, man! I'll just say, good luck in the contest!
