As stress melts away with cheer
Loved-ones all the spectrum's range
Meet Noel day with joyful tear
Then Auld Langsyne breathes winds of change
To scatter us far and near
And we will roam our separate ways
Until this time next year
Author notes
After Christmas this year my family is all going different directions...interstate for work, overseas for study, etc.
I'm starting college but staying home. I wanted to capture my mixed-feelings of excitement, loneliness and confusion, all dwarfed by the chaos and lovingness of my family.
Therefore, I dedicate this poem to them, with my love.

Lovely poem
Well done. When we feel those emotions, writing a poem about it can really help untangle the mixed emotions. When family temporarily divides, it just gives us an opportunity to realise how much we really love them. As always, this poem is beautifully written.
