Mama's Girl ?

Missing image

a speck of light glazing through
this sleepy-eyed girls' eyes
throwing the covers off my shoulders
breathing deep, the morning air
rising to sitting position, I
stretch
first big yawn after waking

trying to get my thoughts together

something starts to come to me

piece by crazy piece
scene by silly scene

suddenly there I was...in another place

waiting in the shadow
of an old abandoned building
clothed in a santa suit
with purple boots on my feet
a tiara on my bald head
tattoos covered me
head to toe
singing...some strange lullaby like this:

take  me to the funny farm
rock me to sleep up in your arms
wake me next day and bake me a cake
but please just don't take me home!

What? have I gone completely crazy?

then out of the blue

I felt a strong vibration..
shaking everything in the room
my whole body was moving from

side to side
I began to get a little dizzy
and then...

oh man!!!
right then I knew what as going on

My eyes opened!
it was Mama trying to wake me up
she had been shaking me so hard
trying to get me to get showered and dressed for...
Oh man..I was dreaming again!

Mama was used to this, you see
this happens every year
I stay up way too late..and then
I can't wake up on Christmas Day

you'd think being seventy-nine years old, that my
ninety-eight year old Mama would give up on me..

but not Mama!
and I am a "Mama's girl"

Tis is so funny.I love it.You may be seventy nine but mama's dedication and love never ends.My favorite part would have to be where you simply state that you are a mamma's girl.Spoke from the heart and with great respect and love.Great job in this you should enter it into a contest.

haha the pic at the top is so much the poem. These 2 remind of a local sculptor in and around here. Vic cicansky, I think his name is. he does some pretty odd stuff. surreal. anyway back to the script. funny dreams are always a mirror of your life. true dat. (:
