Lost
Bewildered and lost
I walk in a darkness,
A world of betrayal,
Blinded and chained.
Where is the light
That others believe in?
The hope and the laughter
Once bargained from life.
Buried in blackness.
My torment excesses.
How long must I suffer?
And where will it end?
My visions befuddled
My dreams a delusion,
While my emotions
Battle the price of my soul.
Entrapped in a void
And drifting on mania,
I'm fighting a battle,
Lost from the start.
Hushed to tranquillity,
Surrounded by demons,
The song of their darkness
Entices repose.
In my solitary confinement,
My agony my own,
There's but one road open…
Oblivion in death.

This is very good, and I like your take on the option as well! I like the imagery, it suggests blindness, a bit like an animal, unable to comprehend what has happened to it, driving it to death because of the pain it feels at being left by what/who it loves.
