Words that were not meant to be said;
Now words lost in the wind,
They were forgotten to be forgiven.
A second chance.
The choice you almost chose;
Now lost with the girl you almost picked,
She is forgotten and you are almost forgiven.
A second chance.
Your wondering mind wondering aloud;
Now as faint as a rainbow,
Your questions forgiven and almost forgotten.
A second chance.
Your kiss that shouldn't have been to a girl supposedly my friend;
Now leaving with broken peaces of my heart,
The act suppressed but not forgotten and your here but not forgiven.
A second chance?

Ah teen angst, I remember it well. Was this a series of second chances, or all of what led up to the initial second chance. Are you certain that you were the almost, or is this your wish? Is the fault with kissing the friend because you were mislead?, or because you wanted to be the one?
You do a fine job at showing how you feel, but not the overall why.

I feel like this was really written from the heart. If you did choose to give that second chance, I hope it was the right decision. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing, but where do we draw the line?

Wow! I really liked that. I especially liked the contrast between forgotten and forgiven in each of the stanzas. Also...not to be nit-picky, but I am a teacher...in the last stanza, peaces should be spelled "pieces" (unless you were doing a play on words with the word peace) and your should be "you're". Very moving. I cried a little! Thanks for sharing!
