I found out today
you went away
to a place you now call home
no longer fighting the fight
no longer feeling alone
and wondering why
life can sometimes be so painful
You're now an angel up above
watching over
protecting the ones you love
from harm
waiting on the other side
Here on Earth
we'll carry on your legacy with pride
keeping you in our hearts forever
I miss you
see you on the other side
Author notes
This poem was inspired by a friend of mine who died at age 34 of a heart attack. I miss him dearly.

Wow, another excellent poem, I am so sorry for your loss. Your words take the reader in and make you feel what you feel. That makes for an awesome poem in my book! Keep on writing, I look forward to reading it.
