The floor is damp and cold, I see nothing but darkness.
I forget how long I've sat here
After sinking down against the wall.
Time is now a void,
In which I'm lost and wandering
Trying to find a way out before it's too late
And I'm stuck here forever
To slowly wilt away as time passes by.
At first I fought it,
Slammed my fists against the walls.
Franctically trying to escape it's hold
But as I get weak my eyelids close in spite of myself
I find myself thinking that maybe
It might be better off this way
Yet with one last surge of energetic panic I open my eyes
A surge of light accompanied by yet another surge of pain
A constant reminder that I chose this fate
Deciding that regrets and tears are pointless
I was aware of the concequence of taking those pills
My own end. Which I'd known
Would come anyway in it's eventuality
Yet in my naievety and impatience I'd taunted and toyed with fate.
And for that I lay here in tears, waiting for the end to come.
