A Joyous Wish of Hope and Peace

My beloved readers, and all of Allpoetry not known to me, and all of the world: believers and non-believers, in Christ and all other gods; atheists, agnostics and satanists:

I sit here writing with tears streaming down my face. Joy and sorrow mingled in an immense and overwhelming emotional moment of LOVE for all of you. I want to write to you a poem, with the True Message of Life Eternal. A message meant for each and everyone of you.

I was walking in the garden early this morning, and assembled flowers to decorate the house. In a garden which did not show its flowers in abundance, I discovered -- behind shrubs and trees, in niches of shadow and in light, in greenery and in dry patches --  different kinds of blooms: 3 roses, 1 arum lily; 2 agapanthus, white and blue; 2 different kinds of Christmas roses; a late bloom of an orange tree; 1 pink daisy; 1 white daisy; lavender; blue potatoe plant; strelitzia; onion plant; a pink rambling rose; red bottle brush and several variegated leaves of shrubs. I did three lovely arrangements from a garden that is seemingly without flowers!

It brought me in deep contact with our Creator, the one and only God our Father, with his mothering Holy Ghost inside us all and He, manifest as his Son, Jesus the Christ. The lesson being divine and deeply spiritual:

I will gather my children from all kinds
and from all over this Garden called world,
and I will recreate them in a wondrous bouquet
of fragrance and of splendor.
I will go into shadow and into light;
I will go into all hidden places
of drought and of flood;
I will go into poverty and into richess,
and I will gather the works of my hands;
the immortal souls of my Self.

To all of you reading here, beloved souls, this ancient ever-new message for Christmas 2007 and forever:

Holy Child
You gave your mother eternal Life
and for all of your children

With best wishes for a wondrous time of peace and joy, brought about by our Ever Child, for all of his children: I dedicate this poem to you. Please read it and spread it to all of your family, friends (and foes, who may be friends!).

Love Divine
Myra

    You've always got room for others with the refreshing message of that which is so often overlooked.

    This reminds me of our faith as it should be... Active, honest, heartfelt, beyond human embrace. It is ready to share with everyone who was born with that 'space' for something that only can be filled by the sculptor of mankind. Let us never be ashamed to know Jesus and beyond religion....a relationship that is delicious and soothing in spite of strife.

    cling to us, Vine
    for no other's Love
    compares to thine

      Ah Dianne ...

      only YOU can say this so unique in word usage: ... a relationship that is delicious and soothing in spite of strife!

      How often, in the dark of the strife, I experience the wondrous peace and joy, that ONLY God is capable of giving me, through the active example of Him, his Son, and through the immense power of the living Holy Spirit inside of me! By my own power I am weak and nothing, but by the delicious and soothing intimacy of relationship I am lifted to soar!

      Thank you, my poetic friend of soul and of spirit for enhancing the Message of Joy and for writing it so eloquently.

      I love you very much.

    Sometimes I don't think you're really real . . .

    The other day I was leaving my pain management doctor's office. This was a particularly rough day for me; I was not responding to new pain therapy, I was scared of being in pain the rest of my life, frightened of driving away the wonderful new man who had come into my life because it was looking as if I could not have children and would probably always be sick a lot of the time.I wasn't thinking of my blessings, most definately.I left via the front door and notice a tiny, little old lady quite some distance away. Well,it's winter and it's Buffalo and she was an alone. So I waited a few minutes and held the door open. No big deal, right? Just what most of us are taught to do for the elderly. To be honest, I was holding the door, still feeling sorry for myself. Well, this kind lady finally gets to the door and without saying thank you, without hustling inside to escape the cold, genlty wrapped her arm around mine, looked me in my eyes with her clear, bright grey ones and said, "My dear, you will get your reward in Heaven." Without another word and leaving me standing there in shock, she turned and dissapeared into the building. I made it to my car before I broke down in tears. It was EXACTLY what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. Myra, my mother said: "Congratulations, you just met an angel in disguise." I have no doubt. Only an angel could have lifted me up that day as she did.Only an angel could have posted the beautiful words that you did here which reminded so many of us what a beautiful garden we live in and what a wonderful, faithful gardener we have.Sorry this was so long but I wanted to tell you, especially about my angel meeting because I was wondering if you knew her. I mean, angels must know other angels, right? Blessings to you, as always. This post will be printed out for all I love to read. You've done it again. Blessings, Dear One.

      I must tell you the truth: I am no angel, but a wounded soul understanding sorrow by own experience. But: I also understand divine Love, and I see this in your words, and IN HIM we share this love, my beloved friend of far.

      I shall pray for your pain, please feel me hold you, will you? I hold you and pray for you and send you all my love. My words are yours, for it is not really mine, but something I was given THROUGH a perspective, a gift.

    i recently found the works of Stanley Kunitz and his book "The Wild Braid: A Poet Reflects on a Century in the Garden" Throughout his life (1905-2006) Stanley Kunitz created poetry and tended gardens. His book is a synthesis of conversations occurring 2002 and 2004. Beginning with the garden, which he calls that "work of the imagination," his explorative journey through his personal recollections, the creative process, and the harmony of the life cycle. It is a bouquet of poems mixed with prose and has about twenty color pictures. One of my other favorite poets, Galway Kinnel calls this book "A miracle." Your poem here reminds me of Kinnel’s comment and Kunitz’s book.

    You certainly did a lot of "gathering" here. What a beutiful, beautiful tribute to all your friends and enemies, and to Jesus.

    I know you were crying when you wrote this, I choked up as well while reading it.

    The three arrangements you dug from the dirt and made beautiful perfectly corresponds what God and his Son did for us.

    Thank you for reminding us about the true meaning of Christmas, and thank you for being you.

    Nice sentiment, it's always comforting to find hope where there is very little. It provoked something in me when you talked about the inspiration behind the poem and created a very clear image of someone collecting together flowers for an arrangement.

    I'm not a fan of the bad things done in the name of belief and religion or of flower arranging, but still I enjoyed your words and felt something.

      for reading and commenting. I appreciate it sincerely. Poetic prose is done throughout the ages. I think the Bible is a good example of such. I find my pen relates better to prose and poetry combined. I dream in narratives! And in color! And: as my slogan says: I do not write fiction. Every single poem of me on this website and elsewhere actually happened to me: directly or by experiencing others. As English is not my mother-tongue, but Afrikaans, I tend to write in "myrataal", which means "myra language" literally, and personally I translate it as The Language of My Sun (My Ra Taal), which then of course refers to God's own Language of Love.

      My mother-tongue, AFRIKAANS, is the ONLY language I know of which consists of root words from ALL other languages of the world! My linguist friend, Dr Helena Liebenberg from South Africa, is at present busy with a paper on this. If you want to have a reference to her work, I shall sent you that. I write in English too, because my work is not about the art of Myra, but about the ART OF GOD, and should reach as many souls as possible.

      for reading and commenting. Yes -- everything related to the Divine and Supreme Creator, whom I love PASSIONATELY, is POWERFUL! He is so filled with abundance of Love: HE IS LOVE. He is also JUSTICE. I think God is the ONLY totally JUST Being. We can but strive. Yet: Heaven IS here already. We do not experience the fullness of it, for human reasons, BUT: Heaven is all around us and INSIDE us. We can but bask in its glory. EVEN in deprivation, and in sorrow, and in poverty and amidst hatred! If souls only KNOW the GREAT POWER instilled in them, their ENTIRE life will change. For: we can but ALLOW HIS FORCE to work THROUGH us. It is a Gift for ALL who accept Him! Wow I get so excited.

    There is love and there is a greater LOVE. We should always seek the light! Your poem is divine. It sends the message that no matter what we can be the good news bearers that we are purposely set upon the Earth to deliver. The difference in how we feel depends on how we react to a given situation. When I respond with kindness even in anger...then, have I done the will of God. Your poem reminds us of the passage in the Bible that says;

    "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." ~Ephesians 4:32

    I stand with you my sister. This message should be copied and carried in our pockets as a reminder that peace and joy abounds in goodwill and Godliness.

    Let us love and be kind

    We wake to the half-light and find, in the rain,

    waratahs flowering, although the day is young.

    Flannel flowers fling themselves in an embankment array.

    Huge Tristanias rise on the flanks of Green Mountains,

    fifty metres above, whispering of God or near Him.

    Palm trees spread umbrellas above us.

    [from Ron and Joy after three days in the Lamington National Park. (Our 45th Wedding Anniversary!) ]

    May you and yours have a very, very Happy Christmas, Myra. *rose* :f :f :f

      For a lovely poetic response, filled with spiritual wonderment. God is indeed Supreme: Creator and tender Guide; Solace and Life in eternal Love; Mercy and Hope in Faith. We are nothing without Him, and WITH Him we are the crown of his Creation.

      Love to you and Joy, and your children.

    This is a poem written by one who can see into both shadow and light. Your message echoes in and through my heart, and while I shall take up the task, I would in kind like to serve as the mountain that caught up these words, and echo it back to you together with blessings and gifts of Peace and Love. Divinely Inspiring Divinely Heard
    Divinely crafted within your Word
    Open to all for the giving
    A lesson needed for all living

    I enjoy your message, and while it is most often loudest during this time of year, I wish more noticed its always here. The fact of His gathering, and the spendor of its beauty within him is beyond us here. But the wonders of his ability are all around us, even in the worst of times. The flowers of your garden, I bless them for being there for you, and I dont mind saying I envy you both too.

    Thanks for the message and your deliverance of it.

    Devon

      for a precious comment of wisdom and of truth. God's mercy is great; his forgiveness endless; his patience eternal. And YES: He is with us every single moment, and He knows our imperfections so well. And: He sees us through divine eyes, made manifest as His Son. So: He sees flowers were there are stones; life, where there is death; living water, where there is drought.

      He sees us in our small rooms of darkness, as if we are dancing on a Mirror of Light.

      Thank you for reminding us of Him being FAR ABOVE our thoughts. May you have a wondrous reaffirmation of His presence forever, Love.

    This poem is what my mother would proudly call "divinely inspired poetry". I do not know you but God works in ways so that even strangers can become friends. I have had such struggle with my faith of late. This poem has inspired me beyond imagination. I always knew that the God I looked to had a "flower garden", and in it is where all the annuals, perennials, evergreens, and wildflowers yield their seed, generation after generation. This is a blessed work of poetry. Thank you so much for sharing.

    Merry Christmas,

    April Nicole

    Thank you for taking the time to express yourself so honestly. It is a time of year where so many emotions surface...we think back through the year and see what has transpired and what could have been changed or be satisfied with what was done. I wish for you and yours the greatest of peace, love and an abundance of blessings.
