what drives me?
hate of failure
contempt for mediocrity
disgust at comprimise
the fact that I could never look in the mirror
knowing that I didn't give my best
at every thing I did
I dont want to go to my grave
and think that there was a moment
where i could have gone forward
but chose not to
i may not finish first
but, by God, I will finish
I may not win every fight
but fight i will nevertheless
there may come a time
when I will be forgotten
long after i have left this world
but i will have lived my life
in such a way that i can be proud of
that is what drives me

Thank You!!
Thank You for Your entry: what drives me
Wonderful piece You have penned and Powerful energy exuded with Empowerment brought forth
These lines grabbed and tugged:
i may not finish first
but, by God, I will finish
I may not win every fight
but fight i will nevertheless
The only thing is that this particular contest calls for 7 lines only
This is a Magnificent verse...but unfortunately
does not fall within 7 lines...Sorry~~
I'll be having another contest for pre-writes
